Welcome to my blog!
I am Kendall Neill, a student pursuing her master's degree in Collaborative Education. My undergraduate degree focused on Business and was an Interdisciplinary Studies degree from UNA. Towards the end of my studies at UNA, I decided that I would like to study education and become certified through an Alternative A certification program. I also hope to become certified in dance education when/if the DELTA testing is completed. The DELTA will be the PRAXIS of dance education and is currently in the works of being put together. I began my undergrad education as a Dance Education major at Birmingham-Southern, but transferred after becoming sick kept me from dancing throughout my sophomore year. I believe that technology is important in every subject and aspect of education.
I began work as an Exceptional Education Paraprofessional at McAdory High School in Fall 2012. I work with students in grades 9-12 and mainly focus on math inclusion and math resource. I absolutely love my job and cannot wait to become a Collaborative Education teacher. Currently, I try to incorporate technology with students, but I am eager to find new ways to do so after this course.
I have been married to my husband, John Andrew, for a little over 2 1/2 years. We both enjoy volunteering with our church's youth group and serving in other ministries in our church as well. We also try to be a part of mission trips when possible. We love working with the students in our church and getting to be a part of their lives.
In our free time, we enjoy spending time with our families, visiting Disney World, and hanging out with our best friends. I am blessed to have a life full of love and hope to share some of that with students.
Hi Kendall! I can tell we have a lot in common! I am also an alumini from UNA. Go lions! Math is by far my favorite subject. I have a degree in Elementary Education, but that wasn't an easy decision. I knew I wanted to go into education, but I kept going back and forth between high school math or elementary. I finally decided on elemenatary because I love teaching the smaller kids. Well, I taught kindergarten one year and I didn't really enjoy teaching them that small, but 5th/6th grade is my favorite! I am also a volunteer in our youth ministry at church. I gradutated high school with the youth minister and so my husband and I like to go in youth on Wednesday nights and help out. My husband also volunteers to drive the van for the group when they go on trips. And of course I love Disney World too! Is there really anyone who doesn't? We took our two boys last Christmas, and there just isn't a better time to go to Disney World than at Christmas. I look forward to getting to know you better this semester.

Hi Kendall, I have some affiliation with UNA, my brother played football at UNA a few years ago and I miss going to the games! I also work as a paraprofessional working with special needs, I love my kiddos! I am trying to make a decision if I would like to stay getting my Master's in Early childhood or collaborative education, I enjoy working with my class, so that's why I am having a time deciding on what to do! Hopefully we will learn more from each other and getting to know each other this term!
